The objective of this dissertation is to do the analysis of the specific enterprise with the help of the theoretical knowledge and to formulate the recommendations based on the acquired knowledge from the external and internal company’s environment to encourage further development of this enterprise. The integral part of this dissertation is the application of sub instruments of the strategic analysis, concretely the SWOT analysis, SLEPTE analysis, and financial analysis. After findnig main problems, solutions will be recommended.

Frolka, T. Sources of profitability of selected banks in Czech sector. Bachelor thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2017. The bachelor thesis deals with sources of profitability of selected banks in the Czech banking sector. The theoretical part focuses on the characteristics of balance sheets items and profit and loss account. Furthermore, the theoretical part focuses on indicators of profitability and revenue and cost margins. There are presented equations for calculation of these indicators of profitability and margins. There is also analysis of foreign studies dealing with the issue of profitability of banks in the theoretical part and there are defined major determinants of profitability of banks. The practical part describes the financial structure and the main income and expense items of selected sample of banks. Further practical part contains analysis of the selected sample of banks using the indicators of profitability and selected margins.

Cost-Benefit Analysis of Fish Processing in Ghana

The main objective of this diploma thesis is to ascertain the level of profitability from fish processing (canning) using the company MYROC Food Processing Company as a case study from 2005 to 2008. The results of the work were done using some financial statements from the company. The diploma thesis consists of two parts. The first part is the theoretical part which describes the fishing industry in Ghana and the benefits of fish processing, concept of cost and benefit analysis, sensitivity analysis and concept of financial analysis. The second part is the practical part where, the cost-benefit analysis, sensitivity analysis and some financial ratios were used. There is also the bankruptcy model that is used in predicting financial distress. In the conclusion, there are some recommendations for improving the financial situation of the company.
